Overview

The Lootalyzer parses user-submitted log files of loot sessions and provides reports on the aggregate data. The mission is to definitively determine the differences in loot-drop profile among different spawns.

To see the statistics for a given spawn point, simply click the spawn you wish to analyze in the list at left. Report data includes kills per minute, credits per minute, average loot level, and breakdowns of components by type and level.

Submitting Data

Like the rest of spaceloot.com, this utility is only as strong as the community that supports it. If you would like to submit your own loot logs for analysis, follow these steps:
  1. Clear out your existing chatlog file. The file is located in x:\SWGroot\profiles\yourlogin\yourserver\####_chatlog.txt. (for example, "c:\program files\starwarsgalaxies\profiles\jethro\lowca\820194011_chatlog.txt"). To clear it, open the file and delete all the text currently in it, then save the file.

  2. Create a new chat tab named 'spaceloot' that will read ONLY system messages. To do this, right click in the chat tab area of your chat window and select 'new tab'. Remove any default channels included in the newly created tab, then add the 'system messages' channel. Name the channel spaceloot and save the changes.

  3. Turn on timestamping in the options > chat interface.

  4. Launch and go to the spawn that you want to analyze. Just before you score your first kill, execute the command /log to activate logging.

  5. Loot uninterrupted for the duration of your session. Pausing to chat, pet the cat, eat Cap'n Crunch, etc will skew the time sensitive statistics. If you're unable to work uninterrupted, end the session prior to the first pause.

  6. When you're done, execute the /log command again to terminate logging.

  7. Submit your log. When prompted for the file to upload, select the same file you cleared out earlier.

  8. That's all there is to it. Make sure to clear the log each time you submit.
